The Shire Classes – Ashbourne has always been a popular diary date in the shire calendar and we are lucky to have such wide support from the breeders and our exhibitors.
In recent years we have, introduced our Any Other Breed in hand heavy horse class and we are also holding a Ridden Heavy Horse class. Both classes provide a magnificent sight and it is well worth making a note to be ringside for both classes.
We are planning a Grand Parade of Shire and Heavy Horses in the main ring. Providing a truly spectacular sight, with so many together at one time, this may turn out to be a record!
All Livestock sections of the show have Young Handler classes.
Visit the displays from local branches of the WI, Ashbourne Vintage Tractor Club, Young Farmers and Ashbourne Camera Clubs, pop in at the Goat tent or enter the competitions in the Handicraft and Horticulture marquee.
